De Boer Structures (UK) Ltd was engaged by LOCOG to provide one of the most prestigious pieces of temporary infrastructure at the Games- in the form of the OHC. This was a turn-key project to be completed to the highest standards, commensurate with the international clientele who would be using it. Fluid was one of the key subcontractors engaged by De Boer to provide interior linings, hard-wall partitioning and doors and like all contractors it was required to provide first class services whilst complying with a demanding health & safety regime and a strict security programme. I was delighted that Fluid carried out all of its work in a highly professional manner. The standard of finish was excellent and their helpful and very flexible attitude helped enormously when things got challenging during the high pressure build programme. Fluid was adept at interfacing with other site contractors and always worked in a safe manner- characteristics which usefully reduced the demand on De Boers management time. Their standard of work, positive attitude, compliance and co-operative approach were a great asset and significant contributory factors in the successful delivery of the project.

I brought Fluid in to work on a sponsor pavilion overlooking the Olympic park. The team from Fluid worked hard and efficiently on a site that had major logistical challenges. Fluid brought a depth of knowledge and research on building control requirements for fire blocks etc. that where invaluable when dealing with Newham requirements. Overall the project was a crossover between construction and events very much working under Construction restrictions and Fluid took this in their stride.

2012 is the first time we have used the TABS insulation system from Fluid and it was a real success. It is perfect for blackout, there was a significant reduction of sound from rain and outside noise, also the internal climate was much better. When the temperature outside was 29 degrees we had a lot of help for our climate installation to keep the heat outside the pavilion.
I think this way of working is a big step forward in finishing the inside of temporary structures
